The problem of child traumatism injury and its prevention remains relevant both on the territory of the Russian Federation and throughout the world.</p><p>The purpose of the study — to conduct an analysis of injuries among the children’s population of Primorsky Krai.</p>
<title>Material and methods</title><p>Material and methods. There were used materials of the Primorsky Regional Medical Information and Analytical Center: “Injuries, poisoning and other consequences of exposure to external causes”, “Information about a medical and preventive institution”, “Information about hospital activities” for 2016-2018.</p>
<title>Results</title><p>Results. In the Primorsky Territory, the injury rate in children aged 0–17 years was found to be 185.4 per 1000 population of the corresponding age, which is 62.9% higher than the level of the Russian Federation, and 42.6% higher than the level of the Far Eastern Federal District. At the same time, in Primorsky Krai, there was a gain in the level of injuries among the child population for the period 2016–2018 by 2.4%. The indicators of injuries of the child population for external reasons and transport injuries amounted to 134.8 and 48.9 cases per 1000 children, respectively. In the structure of injuries by the nature of injuries, 71.8% were injuries attributed to the “other” section, i.e. not deciphered by official statistics. Fractures of various localization took the second place: fractures of the upper extremities accounted for 14.3%, lower extremities — 6.38%, intracranial injuries — 3.96%.</p>
<title>Limitations of the study</title><p>Limitations of the study. The study was conducted on the available data of the official statistical accounting of injury rates of the children’s population of the Primorsky Krai.</p>
<title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. The problem of child injuries has a high socio-economic significance and is one of the leading problems in the medicine of the Primorsky region, which, in turn, requires the adoption of effective preventive measures aimed at specific risk factors for the development of child injuries, which should be implemented as a result of the interaction of health authorities, regional and municipal authorities.</p><p>Contribution of the authors: </p>
<title>Rasskazova V</title><p>Rasskazova V.N. — concept and design of the study, editing, partial writing of the text, responsibility for the integrity of all parts of the article.</p>
<title>Kiku P</title><p>Kiku P.F. — concept and design of the study, partial writing of the text, responsibility for the integrity of all parts of the article, approval of the final version of the article.</p>
<title>Bogdanova V</title><p>Bogdanova V.D. — statistical data processing, design articles, work with literature.</p>
<title>Volkova M</title><p>Volkova M.V., Palladova L.M. — collection and statistical processing of material.</p>
<title>Sukhova A</title><p>Sukhova A.V. — editing, approval of the final version of the article, work with literature.</p>
<title>Acknowledgment</title><p>Acknowledgment.
